Before Silk Road, we were on both sides of the same industry. Markus and Norman ran fashion brands and fulfilled them from China. Peng spent his career inside China's fulfillment industry, building operations for other people's companies. From both sides we saw the same thing: what gets promised, what gets skipped, and how little these companies understood the brands they shipped for.
The idea started as a joke over tea — we should just build our own. It stayed a joke for three months. Then it wasn't.
We niched into fashion because it's what we know and what we love. Markus and Norman run fashion brands. Peng holds a Master's in international fashion marketing. Nobody in China was building a 3PL just for fashion founders, so we built the one we'd want to use ourselves.
